The AEIS (Auto Engine Idle Shutdown) system shuts off a vehicle that is idling while parked after 30 minutes.
Please note, this is sometimes confused with the Auto Start/Stop feature on many vehicles. The Auto Start/Stop system is simple. It automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle is at rest (but not in park) to cut fuel use and eliminate idle emissions.
