- Q – “My Hub is in my center console unlike the one in the video, will this kit still work?”
- A – Yes, The hub install and connections are the same, just in a different location.
- Q – “I have manual climate and the bottom right corner of my screen just has the date. Will this add the on screen controls?”
- A – No. There is not a cost effective way to add automatic climate control.
- Q – “Will this add SYNC Connect / FordPass controls from my phone?”
- A – No. SYNC Connect is a separate modem optioned in some vehicles. We do not currently offer a kit to add this functionality.
- Q – “Will this kit void my factory warranty?”
- A – No. This kit will not void your vehicle warranty. Although Ford will not warranty the components in our kit, we do for one full year!
- Q – “Can I still update the SYNC software when updates are available?”
- A – Yes. You will still be able to update SYNC via USB thumb drive from our software updates page HERE.
- Q – “Will this kit affect my SiriusXM subscription?”
- A – No. SiriusXM subscriptions are NOT affected by our kit - your SiriusXM ID will remain the same.

**Regardless if your SYNC 2 system is navigation equipped or not, you will need to select "Navigation Version" option under "Kit Options" if you would like SYNC 3 to have navigation.

Long awaited Sync 2 to Sync 3 upgrade for my F150
Love the look and feel of Sync 3 in my 2015 F-150. I included navigation because combined with the sync 3 upgrade kit it was less than half the cost of ordering it alone. Perhaps the best feature is that sync 3 includes Android Auto (and Apple Carplay) which allows me to access google maps navigation and spotify for endless music choices and more. Although this upgrade is a bit pricey, now that I have it, I'm very happy I made the investment. Now I love "everything" about my 2015 F-150 again thanks to 4D Tech and their excellent sync 3 upgrade kit. Their video on installation is precisely what I needed to make this rather involved process quite simple. I would do it again.

Delivered as promised
Look, I was skeptical...not sure why, but I was. I was looking to update my 2015 F150 Lariat to equipment that supported Apple CarPlay without sacrificing the look/feel of Ford product. This Sync 3 upgrade is seamless and looks beautiful. Having CarPlay is excellent! Thank you for this product!!

SYNC 3 Upgrade
I watched the you tube installation video prior to purchasing this product and this was so informative I immediately purchase this item. Three days later my SYNC 3 kit arrived while my wife was finishing up on a video conference related to her work. We needed to leave within 45 minutes, so I went for it. I removed/replaced with the upgrade kit in less than 30 minutes and never looked at any instruction. Up and running before my wife was ready to leave. She did not know I purchase this and was impressed with the installation and the clarity of the screen in car play, backup camera and the Ford display. I wish 4D provided upgrades for the sound systems, I would buy that upgrade in a flash.

Great upgrade
I installed this product in my 2015 F-150 because ford would LOVE to sell me a new truck rather than support upgrades to the My ford Touch. This was a wonderful upgrade and works identical to the sync 3's installed after 2016 everything that functioned on the My Ford touch (sync 2) functions with this upgrade. My Sirius radio subscription continued to work just as 4d Tech advertises. All of the parts are stamped as OEM parts, and this is not some cheap imitation. Well pleased with the product so far.

Exceptional customer service
I bought this system for my f150. Easy ordering, fast shipping and excellent communication on order status.
The included paperwork and online videos made the install an easy DIY.
I did encounter an issue with the mounting bracket as the old brackets did not work with the new unit. Contacted support via email late at night and had a response first thing in the morning. They corrected the issue promptly by shipping the correct bracket same day!
It is difficult to find strong customer service these day, this company went above and beyond. I will buy more from them without hesitation. -
