Focus (15-18') 4'' to 8'' Touchscreen Conversion w/ SYNC 3

The install was definitely involved and took some time. But I love the finished product! So far it works perfectly - but before I give it a perfect 5, I want to make sure everything is working perfectly for the next few weeks. Awesome product, definitely recommend

I is a little expensive, but almost all the parts are original Ford parts. new in the original package. I have to say I am very satisfied with everything. I bought the car barely used but, always wanted the big touchscreen with Apple play. And finally found 4Dtech.com via YouTube. And I could not be happier with the fast shipping and quality of the products. It looks like it’s all original and functions like Original Equipment. End of story. If you want to convert your focus or other vehicle 4Dtech is the real deal!

I realize you get a lot of people asking for quick fixes for a "piece meal job" that isn't easy to over the phone, nor do you have the time. Install went well, and after a small brief technical issue, everything works as it should. The instructions are a little lacking in the install portion though. It never mentions anything about the mounting bracket or re-installing of the cd player. If your focus has a factory backup camera like mine, it doesn't specify how to make the correct connection. I'm a professional installer, so some of this was self explanatory for me. The camera issue was resolved through technical support who responded quickly and got me squared away. Other than the instructions, it's a great kit and works well.

I ordered this to replace my ugly and useless MyFord radio on my 2016 Ford Focus. The installation with the wiring was tricky and difficult but that was the only difficult part of the install. Once I ran all the wires and inserted the display and control panel, I was good to go. Everything stocked worked as the Youtube instructional video described, backup camera, radio, volume control, etc.

I love Apple Car Play and having that feature and being able to use Waze and have it display on the 8 inch screen is so much better than having my phone hanging of me on my windshield.

The price was really high, more expensive that all of the Tesla style screens out there. But this is definitely well worth the money. It's a great investment to upgrade your Focus if you dislike the stock MyFord option.

This kit is excellent. So easy to install following the very detailed video. Worth every penny!

While this kit could be considered pricey, 4D Tech has offered a kit that makes it a million times easier to install a professional upgrade to your Ford Focus. I know have a big touch screen that is compatible with Apple CarPlay, and the install was way easier than every other alternative on the market currently. Their customer support is also very responsive if you need help. Highly recommend.

I completed a DIY install of this kit to convert my 2016 Focus from the 4" Sync (Gen 1) to 8" Sync 3, and couldn't be happier. It was a day project to get all the wires threaded properly but the YouTube video made by 4Dtech made the process quite easy to follow. All my factory features were retained including the OEM backup camera and rear parking sensors Android Auto works flawlessly as long as you install the Sync 3 Hub in the center console as instructed - I initially tested the unit without this and it would not recognize my phone via the dashboard USB port. The instructions do correctly mention this hub is required, as is the GPS antenna which is installed behind the glovebox. (in non-nav kits it operates the compass). Overall I'm very happy with this conversion kit - I previously used an aftermarket Android-based unit which didn't function as I wanted, now I'm completely set!
